ARC Future Timber Hub Research Showcase - Day 3

ARC Future Timber Hub projects covered will be:

1) Progressive collapse (robustness) resistance of post-and-beam mass timber buildings
This presentation will be covering the progressive collapse project of post-and-beam mass timber buildings performed at Griffith University. This will include a showcase of Hub Facilities which includes the Griffith structural laboratory, shown through the experimental tests performed.

2) The optimisation of wood-based mass-panels for Australian building systems
This presentation will cover the project progress towards investigating 3 key areas: The rolling shear performance of CLT using Australian species; the development of a mechanically laminated panel (specifically NLT) from Australian feedstock; and, the development of a veneer based panel with high connection performance for use as core walls.
